                      VISION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION  DEPARTMENT

Brining up and teaching disabled children not only depend on humanitarian considerations, but it is a legitimate right guaranteed by Islam, and legal right guaranteed by International Conventions, besides Rules and Regulations of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hence, Special Education Department aims at preparing qualified teachers to protect disabled rights and supply their needs to make them do their best in their jobs. The department  considers a policy of preparing  cadres working in special education field according to modern global attitudes.

Taxonomic trend:  this trend aims at preparing university student to work with special cadre of special education cadres, and all university courses and practical training are devoted to this purpose. This trend has its vindications and aims. Special Education Department reconciles the two trends  through preparing university student to work with special cadre of special education cadres as followed in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This trend also considers other special education subjects and other cadres as It diverse university courses through three levels: (almost 40% of courses) general, (almost 40% of courses) general in special education field, and (almost 20% of courses) in certain area.

Un-taxonomic  trend:  this trend seeks preparing university student to work with all special education categories. The courses vary to include all these categories too, and this trend has its vindications and causes.
